VASCULAR LASER
Capillaries on the face, nose or cheekbones or lower limbs, as well as the characteristic redness of couperose or rosacea are pathologies or imperfections that affect many people and can be very unpleasant.
The exact causes of the appearance of these flaws are still poorly understood. Certainly there is a certain genetic predisposition, smoking and alcohol can aggravate the situation. In some cases they can be traced back to hormonal imbalances, excessive exposure to the sun, temperature changes, or to the simple and physiological aging processes of the skin.
The laser and pulsed light (IPL) technologies available today work effectively and safely. This type of light source selectively targets the hemoglobin that perfuses the blood vessels to eliminate, creating a targeted effect.
INDICATIONS
- Capillaries of the nose and cheekbones (Nd: Yag)
- Fine cheek capillaries (IPL)
- Cuperose (IPL)
- Rosacea (IPL)
- The capillaries and small veins of the lower limbs (Nd: Yag).
For larger caliber vessels it is preferable to use sclerotherapy.
During the first visit, the possible causes are evaluated. Based on this, the most effective treatment is chosen.
BEFORE TREATMENT
It is always necessary to carry out these therapies without being tanned and without being exposed to the sun in the days after.
Normally the session of both laser and pulsed light lasts from 10 to 20 minutes depending on the type and extent of the problem to be treated. Laser and pulsed light are able to act directly and only on the target, leaving the skin around it completely intact and healthy. Usually it takes several sessions to solve the problem, but in many cases even one can give excellent relief.
AFTER THE TREATMENT
On the face it is possible that a minimal redness will remain immediately, which will remain for a few days, but it will be possible to apply moisturizer and makeup immediately. After the procedure there will be a widespread edema and redness on the treated area which will need to be moisturized with specially prescribed creams.
On the lower limbs it will be possible to observe a browning due to the spreading of hemoglobin in the dermis (purple) which is reabsorbed in about twenty days; Furthermore, there will be a redness due to the inflammatory effect of the capillary walls which will result in a fading of the telangiectasias if not in the complete disappearance over the course of weeks.
Important is photoprotection for 2 weeks, avoid exposure to UV rays and avoid sun lamps and / or showers. The patient is able to move independently regardless of the treated site and no convalescence is necessary.
RESULTS obtained with laser and pulsed light therapies usually last a very long time. vascular laserDue to the characteristics of the pathology itself (couperose / rosacea), however, it will be possible that from time to time some new capillary may appear, to treat which only one and very short session is normally sufficient.
It will also be a good idea to use dermocosmetics products suitable for your skin type and problem to maintain the results obtained for a long time. The specialist medical examination always precedes the first treatment. Each individual, each body area on the same subject must in fact be evaluated and defined before starting any treatment.
The cost of the visit is included in that of the treatments, and this, as well as the number of sessions, is established together with the patient during the pre-treatment visit and are subjective.
